YOUTUBE LINK TO ALL THE VIDEOS

Hi everybody,

Some of you might not be able to watch the videos here (as far as I know you need the newest version of adobe flash player).

BUT: I have created a Youtube channel where you can watch all the videos. It is called "learning guitar at sea mills". If you type that into the Youtube search engine, it will come up.

Or click the link below

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGd7Y_rmSC-kljLGEYUDnGg

Now, what would be great if I could see lots of hits on those!!

You'll probably see links to other people teaching guitar as well. Check them out too if you got time.

It all adds to your knowledge and there is always many ways to look at the same thing.

Explore and have fun!

Pentatonic e - minor scale

Hi there,
Video 2016 video Nr.3 and this is where the fun starts.
Learn it and than mess about with it (a lot) or as musicologists would call it extemporise - or improvise as they say in jazz. Same thing.

Chords

Hi there,
Here is video Nr.2 in 2016. It is about playing chords.
The chords covered here are E minor, E major and A minor. You find more chords on the sheet I gave you. There is also a lot of free information on the internet if you want to find more chords.
The next chords (after the three covered here) I recommend learning are C major, G major, D major and D minor.
Next after that A major and B7.
With those 9 chords you could already play an enormous amount of tunes believe me!
Learn one a week and in a couple of month (or sooner) the world of songs is yours.
Again as ever the more you practice the easier it gets.
If you stick with it these chords will become second nature.

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

Hi there,
Here is the first 2016 video upload. How to play Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.
Once you've mastered it try playing it on different strings. Remember also to alternate i and m with your right hand. Have fun.

VIDEO 4 JAMES BOND
Hi there.
In this video I am teaching you first the beginning of the tune and also the creepy bit underneath.
Decide for yourself which bit you want to concentrate on - or if you want to be a star - practice both.
Have fun!

Next week I would like to keep working on the James Bond theme.

I'll post a video over the weekend to remind you what we have been practicing.

And here is a version for solo guitar.
